Birthday

Well today is my birthday my 50th birthday i cant believe i have reached half a century hubs sent me some lillies my most favourite flowers in the whole world that man just knows me and what i like LoL, Mike and Ashley have given me money so has my mother and my aunt Margaret, I dont want for anything so i am going to save the money until i decide i want something nice, David my oldest son is calling to see me after hes finished work, my friend who is my very best friend since we were 16 has bought me a gift box with Hugo Boss for woman perfume and body lotion it smells lovely, we are going to nip to the supermarket later then i can get some more strong flour to make some raisin bread, as the last one i made was just so yummy:) i will finish this post by wishing myself a Happy 50th Birthday :)

Today i took the dog to the groomers when i dropped him off i called off at the new hairdressers just around the corner from where i live hes called David James and has a good reputation in haircutting so i bit the bullet and thought right call in and make an appointment well my lucky day he had a cancelation so i booked my appointment for 2.30 anyway i went in and we chatted about what would be a good cut and easy for me to manage he did it so nice that i have booked myself in again for the 3rd April, of course we had to take pics :)

Hubs has been doing the garden today at the bottom and has really made headway its looking a lot clearer he wants to put the greenhouse down there this summer so that will be nice for us both as i love to potter about in the garden and he likes to grow stuff,

New camera

As i said yesterday i got a new camera for my birthday i am finding it quite difficult to use but then i have only been trying to work this out last night and this afternoon, Ashley and Lucas was here this afternoon so they have been my subjects while i have been practicing, so here i will put some of them on i took loads so of course i wont put them all on i would probably bore you to death with them, Kelly my T didnt come today she rang to cancel and said she would come tomorrow but i said its okay i am doing fine for the moment so shes coming next wednesday afternoon and for the time being thats okay,Hubs went to the doctors yesterday afternoon and he saw another Dr as ours is on holiday this week anyhow this Dr L (she is a good doctor i have seen her a few times in the past) shes putting his name forward for some physio for his leg and his back she said hes got soft tissue damage and hes still in quite a bit of pain,

So last night i decided to have a go at making granary bread well it turned out great AND tasted great too, i gave Mike some for lunch today with some bacon on and even he said it was nice, i cant believe how good it is, hubby is going to the dentist this afternoon i am going to go with him as hes having a tooth out so i will drive him home, as hes a man i bet he moans about it says how much it hurts men are just not as hard as women hehe,

Hubs has bought me a camera for my birthday we did look into going to Ireland for the weekend but as hes been off work for coming onto three weeks we cant really afford it so he said would i like a new camera anyway it came this morning and is a Pentax its black and very nice cant wait to start using it, its got quite a lot of features though that the one i have been using hasnt, the instructions are all in German and seeing as i only speak a few words in German i panicked anyhow hubs rang the company and they said look on the cd and thats in English doh me, so i have been trying to understand how to work it.... it will probably take me quite a while to understand them so this afternoon i will be trying it out, oh just to add i am still 49 as yet birthday is not till the 20th of this month then i will be the big 50 not really looking forward to that dont know what the heck i am scared of at all like hubs says age is just a number i dont know i just wish i could believe that.

Here is my second loaf of bread not only did it turn out miles better than yesterdays but it actually tasted waaaayyyy better than yesterdays loaf, its certainly right what they say practice makes perfect...

My first attempt at bread making.

Hubby and i went for a walk in the woods today with Tinkle, he did great walking just refused around three times but other than that he walked for two hours i was thrilled with him we were all really dirty when we got home we looked like we had all been dragged through the woods instead of walked,

So this afternoon i decided i would try and make some bread with my new bread maker it turned out okay but would have turned out better had we not undone the lid while it was rising,It did taste very nice though,

Its started to snow here this afternoon and while writing this blog at 8pm its still snowing wonder if it will stick by tomorrow or will i wake up and its all gone....

Lucas and Friday and breadmaker

Well its Friday so soon the weeks are flying by again and i have actually managed to do a little bit in the house today i have washed the kitchen cupboards down cleaned the kitchen window done a load of laundry made the beds cleaned the bathroom so its all good today, I have also bought myself a breadmaker this is probably just another whim but i cant wait to use it and have that lovely fresh hot bread smell through the house:) I had a look for one when i went shopping the other day but they didnt have any so wednesday evening i had a look online in the argos catalogue and found one there its a nice looking maker well i havent seen very many but it looks nice to me,
